Eric is a Registered Patent Attorney with an active patent litigation practice in federal district courts. He also practices before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Eric has extensive experience in patent evaluation and monetization across diverse technological areas including blockchain technologies, telecommunications, networking, medical devices, image processing, and consumer and enterprise software.
Eric was the Technology Director & Editor for the SMU Science & Technology Law Review, President of the SMU Intellectual Property Organization, and a member of the Honorable Barbara M. G. Lynn American Inn of Court.
Eric enjoys camping with his family, freediving near Windansea Beach and biking around the bay.

- Ultravision Technologies, LLC v. digiLED Limited (E.D. Tex.): Successfully defended two clients in federal court patent litigation and before the International Trade Commission regarding modular LED display technology.
- Mass Engineered Design, Inc. v. Planar Systems, Inc. (D. Oregon): Member of trial team that obtained a jury verdict for damages in a patent infringement lawsuit involving multi-monitor display systems
- Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations, Inc. v. Bubbletight, LLC (S.D. Tex.): Successfully defended manufacturer of degradable composite metals (i.e. frac balls) in patent infringement suit filed by full stream oil and gas company.
- Syneron Medical Ltd. V. Invasix, Inc. (C.D. Cal.): Represented medical device company in competitor patent litigation case involving ablation devices.
- Gesture Technology Partners, LLC v. Apple Inc. (N.D. Cal.): Represented plaintiff in federal court patent litigation and before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals regarding mobile phones and camera technology.
- Design Pallets, Inc. v. Lifdek Corporation (Orange County, FL): Defended supplier of corrugated pallets in trade secret case in Florida.
- Cellspin Soft, Inc. v. Fitbit, Inc. (N.D. Cal.): Represented patent owner in a dispute over wireless networking technology, including Bluetooth.
- Location Services IP, LLC v. McDonald’s Corporation (E.D. Tex.): Represented patent owner in patent infringement matters concerning location-based services.
- Wet Sounds, Inc. v. PowerBass USA, Inc. (C.D. Cal.): Defended manufacturer of audio soundbars in design patent case.
- DiamondOP, LLC v. Delta Faucet Company (E.D. Tex.): Represented company in patent dispute regarding tetrahedral amorphous carbon layers for glass substrates.
- West View Research LLC v. IntroMedic Co., Ltd. (E.D. Tex.): Represented patent technology and licensing company in patent infringement dispute involving ingestible pill camera devices and software.
