Ken Wang is a registered patent attorney who understands the intrinsic business decisions that drive IP strategy and has experience in the development and defense of substantive patent and trademark portfolios for clients. Ken has represented companies on a diverse range of issues, with experience in high tech, AI, biologics, medical device, and pharmaceutical patent and intellectual property matters.
Ken also has extensive experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance regimes, including breach response, compliance assessment, and data sharing under various privacy regulations, including HIPAA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Before his law career, Ken studied the role of novel oncogenes in the formation of T-cell childhood leukemia and spent time at the University of Cape Town developing a computer model of global tuberculosis incidence.
Outside of his legal practice, Ken enjoys photography, amateur astronomy, and volunteer teaching, where he helps teach global citizenship values and working with after school literacy programs.
