Bunsow De Mory expanded its attorney roster with the addition of four IP litigators previously with Singer IP. This move caps six months of steady expansion for Bunsow De Mory, which brought on four other experienced and highly regarded IP litigators since January.
The eight new Bunsow De Mory attorneys strengthen the firm’s stellar patent litigation practice and support the firm’s growing practice in trade secret, trademark, copyright, and complex commercial litigation.
Managing Partner Denise De Mory commented: “We saw the opportunity to expand our roster of first-chair intellectual property trial lawyers and are thrilled to add these exceptional attorneys to our team.”
Benjamin Singer, the former named partner at Singer IP, joined Bunsow De Mory as a partner. Ben has litigated IP and commercial cases for more than 20 years. His excellence has been recognized by Chambers & Partners USA in Intellectual Property: Trademark, Copyright & Trade Secrets Law. He has also been selected as a Top 500 Leading Litigator in America by Lawdragon for 2027 and by Best Lawyer in intellectual property litigation for 2027.
Former Singer IP partner Evan Budaj also joined as a partner, James Hopenfeld joined as counsel, and Yesul Pae joined as an associate. Dana Ruiz will handle case management responsibilities.
In January, Bunsow De Mory welcomed Jennifer Kash as a partner and Francesca Germinario as counsel. Jen is a dynamic trial lawyer with extensive experience litigating intellectual property and other business matters. Jen’s trial record spans three decades, with over twenty bench and jury trials across multiple jurisdictions. Jen was a partner for many years at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, where she also served as Managing Partner of the firm’s San Francisco Office. Francesca has represented clients in IP litigation for nearly 10 years. Jen and Francesca practiced together at Warren Kash Warren (now Warren LLP) prior to joining Bunsow De Mory.
Ben Singer commented: “Evan and I have known and admired Denise and her firm for quite a while. I am also excited to be working with Jen again. Collectively, this is a real IP litigation powerhouse.”
In June, the firm also added Darrell Atkinson as counsel. Darrell is an experienced litigator in state and federal court, representing clients in intellectual property, complex contract, and corporate governance disputes. Darrell previously practiced with Hosie Rice LLP. In July, Talbot Child joined the firm as an associate. He previously worked as an associate at WilmerHale.
